Tapir Lab. proudly announce that the best paper award in Fifth International Balkan Conference on Communications and Networking (BalkanCom 2022) is given to Tapir Lab. member Sezer Can Tokgöz, who is currently carrying out his research @Qualcomm, for his work entitled “On the Physical Layer Security of Maximal-Ratio Combining Over Weibull Fading Channels”. Tapir Lab. members, Dr. Sezer Can Tokgöz presented the paper entitled “On the Physical Layer Security of Maximal-Ratio Combining Over Weibull Fading Channels” and Halil Said Cankurtaran presented the paper entitled “Statistical Modeling of Sand and Dust Storm Attenuation” at the Fifth International Balkan Conference on Communications and Networking (BalkanCom 2022) which is co-sponsored by IEEE ComSoc.

Tapir Lab. members Özgür Alaca and Halil Said Cankurtaran have presented their papers entitled “Spatio-Temporal Failure Propagation in Cyber-Physical Power Systems” and “Propeller Effects on mmWave UAV Channels: A Statistical and Empirical Modeling Study” at the IEEE International Black Sea Conference on Communications and Networking (IEEE BlackSeaCom ’22) which is one of the top IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc) conferences. These two studies was performed in collaboration with Texas A&M University, where Özgür Alaca currently pursuing his PhD.
